Carlos Robson is an award-winning spoken word poet, playwright, and teaching artist. As a competitive “slam”poet, he’s competed in local, regional, national and international competitions, winning the National Poetry Slam championship in 2007 and again in 2008 as a member of the North Carolina based team, Slam Charlotte. He has performed in all corners of the nation and on Broadway, and is a co-founder of the Charlotte based artist collective The Concrete Generation as well as one half of the live arts project The Indoctrination Experiment. Twice nominated for APCA Spoken Word Artist of the Year, Carlos has performed at over 50 colleges and universities.

Rudy Currence, a young singer-songwriter, musician, and producer began to sign his signature on the world at an early age with such writing credits as songs for multi-platinum recording artist Mya, a song featured in the blockbuster hit movie “The Bourne Identity” starring Matt Damon and a song titled “Let’s Play House” for national recording artist Ray J on his album, “Raydiation.” He has been honored as one of the recipients of the ASCAP writer’s award and received this award in 2005, 2006 and 2007. Rudy released several projects including two very successful indie CD’s “More Than You’ll Ever Know” and “Here With You,” as well as a Christmas EP “Last Christmas,” all available now on iTunes. Rudy made his national television debut last year performing on ABC’s “The View” for Quincy Jones’ latest single “Bossa Nostra” also featuring Ludacris and Naturally 7. He also performed his song “Zion” live on BET’s 106 and Park.

James Robilotta’s More Action Less Title: Empowering Student Leaders to do More speaks to students on all levels. Whether you’re newly appointed or a seasoned upperclassman this session is for you. You’ll discover a three-part strategy to help you challenge, motivate, and show appreciation for your peers in your organization. You’ll leave with a plan for empowering the members of your group that boosts morale and increases retention. In total, James he has been working in higher education for over 10 years and through that time his passion for working with college students has increased exponentially. James believes that in high school, students find out who they are, but it is in college where students figure out why they are who they are, and that is such a crucial moment of growth in which James loves being involved.

Chris Jones was once a shy boy from Chicago who learned magic to make friends. No one considered him uncanny in any way although he was convinced that he was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. It was in graduate school that he picked up hypnosis and started perfecting the art with classmates and professors. During his time in college and graduate school chrisjones never had an apartment. He choose to live in the Residence Halls throughout his time in Higher Education. After SEVEN years of being saturated in the college environment there is no doubt why his show is so popular among young audiences.

As participants enter the transformed venue, they immediately notice the elaborate staging, intelligent lighting and professional sound system playing mainstream music. This particular edition of ThinkFast will highlight milestones in history in remembrance of important people and events throughout the Black history.
Nick Pike, originally from Great Britain, is now based in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Nicks solo variety show has been seen at festivals and famous outdoor venues around the globe from London's Covent Garden, to Sydney, Australia. Nick recently has performed the 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 summer seasons at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach SC performing to thousands of tourists from all across America.
