 Michael Kent and James Davis

Sunday, August 18

Magician Michael Kent &
Comedian James Davis

Comedian and Magician Michael Kent gives the ancient art of magic a facelift with an irreverent and often satirical comedic spin. In a style reminiscent of a late-night talk show, Michael invites the audience to laugh with him at the absurdity of a modern-day magician.  He combines his sarcastic sense of humor with mind-blowing magic in a way that seems to let the audience “in on the joke.” This style has made Michael one of the college market’s top comedy-magicians, earning him loyal fans around the country in the process.

If there was one phrase to describe Comedian James Davis it would be: Fresh to Death. Whether it's his look, on stage persona or writing style, James is always "Fresh." Mr. Davis' TV credits include BET's "Hell Date," Bill Bellamy's "Who's Got Jokes", guest panelist on “Chelsea Lately” and a handful of MTV shows that he would like to forget. He's written for the past three BET Awards and the past two BET Hip Hop Awards. James has even hosted shows for Drake and Ryan Leslie. His music spoofs have made it all the way to cable via Comcast On-Demand. Currently, James can be seen on the Comedy Central show "Russell Simmons Presents Stand-Up at the El Rey Theater" hosted by JB Smoove.
