You also may use our interactive giving form (pdf - 371 KB) to make your contribution.

Recurring Gifts

Make giving to Winthrop easy by setting up automatic, recurring payments in the amount, frequency and chosen payment of your choice. Gifts can be paid with credit card, debit card or checking account. Set up automatic payments online or call 803/323-2150.

Matching Gifts

Employer matching gifts can double, or even triple your gift to Winthrop if you or your spouse works for or are retired from a company with a matching gift program. Inquire if your company will match your gift through our online database.

When applying for your match, please list the Winthrop University Foundation as the charitable organization. We will apply your match to the same designation you choose for your personal gift unless your company’s policy dictates otherwise.

Stocks or Other Securities

Stocks and mutual fund gifts are another way to give to Winthrop. The gift to Winthrop is tax-deductible, and capital gains tax on the security may be avoided. Stock gifts may include stocks held by you, a broker or a mutual fund gift. Contact Institutional Advancement at 803/323-2150 if you wish to make a gift of stock or other securities.

Tribute Gifts

Honor or memorialize a family member, friend, classmate, student or faculty member with a gift in support of an area or program of importance to that person. Alternatively, the gift can be left to the Winthrop Fund resulting in unrestricted use at the university’s discretion. Tribute gifts can be made online, via phone or by mail.

Recognizing Donors

Donor support is vital to the Office of Development's overarching mission, and every gift can have a direct impact on the life of a Winthrop University student. Find out more about donor recognition.
