Print Station Instructions
- Click the "Print Release Station " button.
- Swipe your Winthrop ID card or enter your Dacus Library print account username then enter your Dacus Library print account password.
- Click to hightlight the item to print. Cost will appear on the screen.
- Click on "Print" button. (If you do not want to print, click on "Delete Job" button).
- Your Black and White copies will be in the laser printer to the left of the print station, Color copies will print to the right of the print station .
- 10 cents per page will be deducted from your print account for each B&W page; 20 cents per page will be deducted from your account for each color print .
If you have problems, ask for assistance at the Reference Desk. Do not attempt to handle printing problems yourself.
Tips for Saving Money
Printing from an Internet site
- Under "File" select "Print Preview"
- Determine the pages you want to print by noting the page numbers that appear at the lower left corner of the image (Note: The image can be made larger by clicking on it)
- Click on "Print"
- In the window that comes up, indicate, in "Print range," the page numbers you want to print
- Click on "OK"
- Follow the print procedures listed above.
Printing or E-Mailing from InfoTrac Basic
- After retrieving the full-text of the article you want, click on "Print or E-mail" found on the left side of the screen
- To print, select "Reformat for printing". After reformatting, follow the print procedures listed in the print station instructions above . (Note: If you do not reformat your article before printing, you will print extra pages you do not need)
- To e-mail the article to yourself, type in your COMPLETE e-mail address in the space provided and click on "Submit E-mail Request"
E-Mailing from FirstSearch
- After retrieving the citation you want, click on "E-mail Record"
- Type in your COMPLETE e-mail address in the space provided and click on "E-mail Record"
Saving to Disk
- Place a disk in the floppy drive (Drive A) and click on "File" and select "Save as..."
- In the space labeled "File name", give your document a name followed by .txt
- In the space labeled "Files of type", pull down the screen and select "Plain Text (.txt)"
- Click on "OK"
