Dacus Online Catalog

Dacus Library's online catalog (DOC) allows information to be accessed by author, title, and subject. To find information on tests, perform a subject search under such headings as "educational tests and measurements", "psychological tests", "ability testing" or under the name of specific tests (e.g., "Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory").

Handbooks

The Mental Measurements Yearbook  Ref. BF 431.B1.M45 - Current two editions kept at the Reference Desk. Earlier editions are in the reference collection.

Tests in Print Ref BF 431 .B1 .T47 - Current edition kept at the Reference Desk.  Earlier editions are in the reference stacks.

Test Critiques Ref. BF 176 .T419 - All volumes are kept in the reference collection.

Tests: A Comprehensive Reference Ref. BF 176 .T43 - Current edition kept at Reference Desk.  Earlier editions are not kept because they are superceded by the current edition.

Internet Sites

BUROS ( http://www.unl.edu/buros ):   Provides access to Web site containing information and links for Mental Measurements Yearbook and Tests in Print information.

Test Reviews Online ( http://buros.unl.edu/buros/jsp/search.jsp):  Provides free information on more than 4000 commercially available tests. For over 2000 of these tests, online critical reviews are available at a cost of $15.00 each.

ETS Test Collection ( http://www.ets.org/testcoll/index.html ):  Includes "an extensive library of 20,000 tests and other measurement devices from the early 1900's to the present."

Major Tests ( http://www.ets.org/choose.html ):  Provides links to popular tests, such as SAT, GRE, etc.

Developing Educational Standards ( http://edStandards.org/standards.html ):  Provides links to sites with educational standards and curriculum frameworks.

Online Database Information (Abstracts and Full Text)

PsycInfo  - contains citations and abstracts of journal articles, book chapters, books, and technical reports, and citations to dissertations. It covers fields of psychology and psychological aspects of related disciplines and is the online version of Psychological Abstracts. Access by clicking on "P"; in the Alphabetical List of Databases from Dacus Library Online. (www.winthrop.edu/dacus)

PsycArticles:  includes more than 35,000 full text articles from 49 journals published by the American Psychological Association and allied organizations dating back to 1987.

Academic Search Premier - Provides full-text for almost 4700 publications.  Access by clicking on "A" in the Alphabetical List of Databases from Dacus Library Online. (www.winthrop.edu/dacus/)

ERIC  Provides access to journals and ERIC documents 1966-present. Access by clicking on "E" in the Alphabetical List of Databases from Dacus Library Online (www.winthrop.edu/dacus/) or go to http://www.eduref.org  

Academic OneFile  Provides access to more than 10,000 journals, mostly peer-reviewed, covering a variety of academic disciplines from science and technology to the humanities. 4,300 titles are full-text and 8,400 are refereed. Full-text of New York Times to 1995 is included.
