- To find books in the library on your topic, do a search under "Subject". Search by artist's name (last name first), topic (i.e. "Art-Study and Teaching"; "Art Therapy"; "Art History"; etc. ), style, medium, etc.
- Art books for children are found in the "Juvenile Collection" on the ground floor in the 700's and the biography section.
- DOC also lists the journals, magazines, and videos that Dacus Library owns.

ARTStor (on Dacus Library Online)
- Contains over 300,000 digital images of world art and architecture
ERIC (on Dacus Library Online)
- ERIC is the Educational Resources Information Center, a federally-funded national information system, providing a variety of services and products on a broad range of education-related topics.
- Containing over one million records, ERIC indexes over 2000 journal titles covering the entire field of education; including adult education, assessment and evaluation, curriculum, urban education and more.
- Includes indexing for both nonjournal material listed in RIE, Resources in Education (the ERIC Documents or ED's) and journal articles listed in CIJE, Current Index to Journals in Education (EJ's)
- ED's; available on microfiche on the top floor of Dacus Library; ED's since 1993 are available full-text on ERIC.
- EJ's; check DOC to determine which ones are available in Dacus Library; the others can be ordered on interlibrary loan.
- The ERIC database provides abstracts of citations , but not full text. It does have links to full-text. Also use
(Web-Bridge) as a link for checking library holdings quickly.
