Access to the Ida Jane Dacus Library

The primary goal of the Winthrop University Library is to support the instructional and research activities of the Winthrop University academic community.  As a security measure, a Winthrop University identification card or a scheduled appointment is required to enter Dacus Library.  Non-Winthrop patrons must either fill out the Dacus Research Application Form (available at the library entrance or see the Online Application Form (PDF) ) or schedule an appointment in advance.

Admission to Building

The following categories of library users are entitled to on-site use of the Library’s resources and collections:

1. Winthrop University students currently enrolled.
2. Winthrop University faculty and staff.
3. Spouses and children of categories 1 and 2 above.
4. Anyone with a research need fulfilled only by the specific resources within Dacus Library.
