Using SciFinder Scholar
The SciFinder Scholar application (program) and a current site.prf (Site Preferences) file must be installed on each user's computer before they can use this database. (System Requirements) (Users Manual)

If you have not used this database this semester on the computer you are now using, you must update the file site.prf . Use the appropriate button below according to whether the computer you are now using is a PC or a MAC. When the grey dialog box opens, click on SAVE, then save the file into the SFSCHLR folder on your C:\ drive if you are using a PC, or into the SciFinder Scholar on your hard drive if you are using a MAC.

If you have previously installed the SciFinder Scholar program, and have recently upgraded the site.prf file on this computer, you may double click on the SciFinder Scholar icon on your Computer Desktop to begin your search.
