Dre is a career consultant for the Center for Career & Civic Engagement who specializes in internships and joined Winthrop in 2008. She also works as an Adjunct Instructor for Visual & Performing Arts and University College. She is a centralized resource for students who are interested in internships and assists them with this process, from initial questions to earning academic credit for internship experiences. She also provides assistance to employers who are interested in creating an internship program or want to post and promote an existing internship opportunity. She serves as a liaison with WU faculty internship coordinators as well. Dre also works as a Career Coach in the Charlotte-metro area and is a Certified MBTI Practitioner.

Dre teaches the Professional Internship course for VPA students as a pre-requisite to their internship experiences – it is offered in the Spring and allows students to complete an internship in the following summer or fall semester. This class provides assistance to students regarding career exploration, resume and cover letter development and interview/networking skills.
