Prichard works primarily as a drawer and property-based performance artist exploring visual representations of psychological states and situations. He finds artistic inspiration in the challenges, obstacles, absurdities, and impossibilities of life—working to transform these circumstances into stylized beauty and cultivation of wisdom. He is interested in the interconnectivity of artistic disciplines, and enjoys collaborating with dancers, musicians, poets, and artists from other backgrounds. He is a principal member of Sinergismo, a performance art group based in Charlotte, NC.
Born in Chapel Hill, NC, he has exhibited locally, regionally, and nationally. In 2011, he was invited to participate in the 701 CCA South Carolina Biennial. In 2011 and 2012 he travelled to Fort Wayne, IN, for a week-long collaborative residency with affiliates of Fort Wayne Ballet. He has recently exhibited drawings at gallery Twenty-Two in Charlotte, NC, where he also put on a site-specific improvisational performance with company members of North Carolina Dance Theater.
