Juliette has over ten years of non-profit arts administration experience. She started her career as Office Manager of the Charlotte Civic Orchestra, in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1999. She has been Director of the Gaston Arts Council since 2006. Juliette has an undergraduate degree in Physics from Nottingham University, England and a Masters Degree in Arts Administration from Goucher College, MD. She has a passion for the arts and her community, and enjoys working with artists throughout Gaston County. Juliette has a background in the arts having played the violin and piano since the age of 5 and taking up the viola and saxophone in secondary school. She has been performing solo and in orchestras most of her life, both when growing up in England and now in Gaston County. Juliette lives in Gastonia with her two children and enjoys being able to serve her community through her work with the Gaston Arts Council.
Working with the Gaston Arts Council allows Juliette the opportunity to work with local artists, businesses, over 20 local non-profit organizations and manage several grant programs. The Gaston Arts Council is a 501(c )(3) charitable organization governed by a Board of Trustees made up of members of the Gaston County Community. The GAC receives monies from both the State of North Carolina, through the North Carolina State Arts Council, and from Gaston County.
