Meister serves currently as adjunct faculty for violin at Winthrop and Wingate University. She also is a Suzuki/traditional violin instructor at the Community School of the Arts. She is dedicated to promoting youth ensembles in the area and coaches upper strings in a newly formed youth orchestra, USYO, in Indian Trail, N.C.

She is actively involved in chamber music in the area, playing in the Out of Bounds New Music Ensemble and with other professional musicians in the Charlotte, N.C., area. She plays occasionally with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, the North Carolina Symphony Orchestra, and various other orchestras as well.

Prior to moving to the area, Meister played as a full-time violinist in the Knoxville, Tenn., area and Virginia symphonies. She has served as concertmaster of the South Bend and Hillsdale Symphonies and played in the Virginia Symphony's Carnegie Hall debut. 

Meister received a B.M. in music performance from Washington University and an M.M. degree in violin performance and lterature from the University of Notre Dame.  She then continued as faculty, and while in Virginia she taught at the College of William and Mary.
