Accreditations
Winthrop's academic programs are measured by national standards of quality. The programs in the College of Visual and Performing Arts are no exception. Winthrop is one of only seventeen universities in the nation with all five of its arts programs – theatre, dance, music, fine arts and interior design – nationally accredited. In addition, our arts education programs (art, music, theatre, and dance) are accredited through NCATE – the National Council for Accreditation for Teacher Education.
