The Spring Deadline for Applications for Admission to Teacher Education is May 15, 2013. No applications will be processed in the summer. Applications will reopen on August 8, 2013. Please plan accordingly.
Important News for Sophomores and students in the OLD PROGRAM: We dropped the EDUC 275 requirement for Admission to Teacher Education. The only courses you need are EDUC 110 and 210. Apply this semester if you met the other requirements. See Admission to Teacher Education Requirements.
Important News: The Admissions to Teacher Education Essay Prompt and Rubric have been revised effective September 25. The task is basically the same as candidates write about three experiences. The main difference is that the essay will reference the New unit Standards rather than the Conceptual Framework. Teacher Induction Ceremony

Deadline to be invited to the ceremony is Friday, September 13, 2013. YOU MUST have the online Teacher Education Admission Application completed and be FULLY admitted into the College of Education.
COE Scholarship Information
Deadline to submit application is Tuesday, April 16, 2013.
South Carolina Initial Certification and Internship Background Check
Students will now apply for SC Initial Certification and Internship Background Check online through the SC Department of Education. Students will be notified via email as to when they need to apply. This will be based on when they will complete their internship (spring or fall).
