Career Opportunities
The teacher licensure option prepares teacher candidates to teach physical education in grade levels from kindergarten through secondary school (preK-12). The PETE program is fully accredited by the National Association of Sport and Physical Education and the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education. In the last five years, the department has 100% placement rate for graduates of the PETE program. The K-12 licensure granted through the Department of Education of South Carolina is accepted in all 50 states allow graduates of the program to seek employment opportunities throughout the United States.
