Albert F. Bolognese is Assistant Professor of Sport Management in the Department of Physical Education, Sport and Human Performance at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. He currently teaches both undergraduate and graduate course as well as oversees graduate research projects and student practicum. He has worked with colleagues to publish and present research on interscholastic sport sponsorship, sportsmanship, and team policy development. Currently he is working on two documentaries that examine the cultural and economic significance of famous sports facilities in the state of South Carolina. In 2008, he was instrumental in bringing Mike Veeck, son of Hall of Famer Bill Veeck and owner of numerous profitable minor league franchises, to speak to students and faculty. Dr. Bolognese also serves on the Rock Hill and York County Sport Marketing committee.
Prior to coming to Winthrop, he taught Sport Management at several colleges in Pennsylvania and also was an owner of independent business for nearly two decades that dealt audio-visual and broadcast communications equipment. Early in his career, he worked in radio and television as a promotions producer as well as for corporations as a sales representative.
