Kristi L. Schoepfer, J.D. is an Assistant Professor of Sport Law and Sport Management at Winthrop University. Prior to joining the faculty at Winthrop, Ms. Schoepfer was an Assistant Professor of Sport Law for five years at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Kenosha, WI. Currently, Ms. Schoepfer teaches Risk Management in Sport, Sport Law, Research and Writing in Sport Management, Sport Marketing, and Introduction to Sport Management. Additionally, Ms. Schoepfer is very active in Winthrop's University College, teaching both Introduction to the Academy and The Human Experience.
In addition to her teaching at Winthrop University, Ms. Schoepfer is an author in the leading Risk Management in Sport text book, as well as a national presenter on sport law issues. For her accomplishments in teaching, research and service, Ms. Schoepfer was awarded the 2009 Marquette University Law School Charles W. Mentkowski Sport Law Alumna of the Year award. Ms. Schoepfer resides in south Charlotte with her fiancee and two dogs.
