Natalie J. Hensen, Clinical Education Coordinator and Instructor for the Athletic Training Education Program, has been in higher education for 6 years. After receiving her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, North Carolina she went on to complete her Master of Science degree with a concentration in Health from Winthrop University. After earning a MS from Winthrop University, Ms. Hensen became interested in a higher education teaching career and began her association with the Athletic Training Education Program at Winthrop University. In addition to the supervision of clinical courses in the Athletic Training Education Program, Ms. Hensen has taught courses in foundations of athletic training, advanced emergency care, pharmacology of athletic training, and is very involved in the ACAD 101 Principles of the Learning Academy program at Winthrop.
A native of Troy, Michigan, Ms. Hensen is a nationally and state certified athletic trainer. She is also a certified American Red Cross instructor for the Lay Responder and Professional Rescuer. Ms. Hensen resides in Fort Mill with her husband, Chad.
