CLES Faculty Member Co-Authors Book

Dr. Lindsay Yearta published a book entitled, From Pencils to Podcasts: Digital Tools for Transforming K-6 Literacy Practices, with Dr. Katie Stover of Furman University. This book talks about how teachers can fully embed technology into the curriculum in order to prepare students to meet the demands of the 21st century. Knowing that no single digital tool or instructional strategy will suit all classroom situations, this book outlines many digital tools and strategies that the authors have found valuable and accessible in their own teaching experiences as well as in other teachers’ classrooms. According to one review, the authors’ “ability to break down complex ideas regarding digital literacy and offer solutions to impact young learners is impressive…the book is a true toolbox of strategies and suggestions to improve instruction with technology.” The book is available on Amazon.
