The Counseling, Leadership and Educational Studies (CLES) department's Distinguished Service award is given in November of each year to an individual from the greater Winthrop University community that best exemplifies the criteria. Candidates for the award demonstrate excellence in professionalism, knowledge in their area of responsibility, and a willingness to share their knowledge and skills with others. In addition, the person selected will have been an important asset to the faculty and staff of the Counseling, Leadership and Educational Studies Department due to their reliable and courteous cooperation and support. The CLES Department is proud to announce that this year’s Distinguished Service Award goes to Ms. Ruth Gaylor, Advisement Coordinator in the College of Education.
