About Volunteer & Community Service

CCE’s Volunteer and Community Service program partners with the surrounding community to provide co-curricular service learning opportunities for our students, faculty, and staff. Opportunities include participation in S.O.A.R. (Serving Others And Reflecting) (pdf – 313 kb), a student-led service organization, the Winthrop Homework Clinic, Alternative Spring Break, blood drives, one-day service events, and long-term volunteer sites.

CCE hosts an annual Volunteer Fair each fall semester to connect community partners to new and returning students and maintains a Volunteer Directory (pdf – 407 kb) where community partners can post volunteer opportunities/needs for students to view on our website.
