Look into the future of our planet.
What do you find at the intersection of financial profitability, environmental sustainability, and social equity? It could be you if you enroll in the new Sustainable Business option as part of the B.S. in Business Administration at Winthrop University.
The thirty hour business foundation provides the introduction to the various disciplines and how they interact to focus on the profitability side of the equation. Management, marketing, business law, and sustainable operations are but a sampling of this foundation. The business core is surrounded by the Winthrop University general education program that provides a context for global citizenship and social awareness as well as the tools to become a leader in your profession and in your community.
One of the keys to success in business in the next century, for organizations and individuals, is to master the triple bottom line: finance performance, environmental/energy solutions, and ethics and social responsibility. The College of Business Administration announces the creation of a new option in its curriculum. The College has heard the requests of current students, potential future students, the business community, and from the rest of society. “Who is going to train the next generation of business leaders who see the crises at hand and have the will and knowledge to do something about what is happening all around us?” That is the question asked. The Sustainable Business option is the answer.
