Dr. Jane Boyd Thomas is a Professor of Marketing. She earned a BS in Clothing and Textiles from Meredith College, a MS in Clothing and Textiles, with a concentration in marketing from The University of Georgia, and a Ph.D. in apparel marketing from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Dr. Thomas has published in numerous conference proceedings and peer-reviewed journals, including the International Journal of Retail and Distribution Management and the Journal of Fashion Marketing and Management. She is the recipient of numerous teaching awards and in 2011 participated in the Advertising Education Foundation Visiting Professors program.
Her unique work on Black Friday shoppers and other aspects of consumer behavior have made her a frequent guest on regional and national news outlets.
