Dr. Her earned his doctoral degree in accounting at the University of South Carolina - Columbia. Prior to joining Winthrop University, he worked as an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the University of Missouri - St. Louis. His areas of teaching expertise include cost and managerial accounting, and his research interest is in the field of behavioral experimental research in judgment and decision-making. Dr. Her’s research has been published in the International Review of Accounting, Banking and Finance, Journal of Accounting and Finance, and Korean Journal of Management. He is a member of the American Accounting Association, the Institute of Management Accountants and the Korean-American Accounting Professors Association.
