The Degree

Program Requirements

The general MBA is a program of 36 semester hours of required graduate courses. The curriculum includes the MBA core of 27 hours and 9 hours of elective courses. Up to 4 hours of prerequisites may be required, depending upon the individual student’s preparation.

 

MGMT 680:  Organizational Leadership & Communications (3 hours)
QMTH 680:  Statistical Methods and Business Research (1.5 hours)
MGMT 681:  Business and Society (1.5 hours)
ACCT 680:   Accounting for Managers (3 hours)
FINC 680:    Financial Policy Management (3 hours)
MKTG 680:  Marketing Management (3 hours)
MGMT 682: Organizational Behavior/Development (3 hours)
MGMT 683: Sustainable Operations (3 hours)
ECON 680:  Managerial Economics (3 hours)
MGMT 684: Strategic and International Issues in Management (3 hours)

Electives (9 hours):
500 and 600 level approved electives (3 hours must be 600 level)

Total of 4 Hours (1 credit hour per course)

Accounting 670: Principles of Accounting
Economics 670: Principles of Economics
Finance 670: Principles of Finance
Computer Science 670: Principles of Information Systems
*may be fulfilled by undergraduate waiver (degree within 3 years)

Students must have a grade of C- or better in each of the program prerequisite courses
