2012-2013 Tuition Status Update
Following the June 28 adoption of a state budget by the S.C. General Assembly, the Executive Committee of the Winthrop Board of Trustees decided to let stand the 2.9 percent tuition increase that had been adopted June 7, but made subject to change if state budget allocations to Winthrop were reduced below the level that was pending at that time.
Because the S.C. State Senate budget plan for higher education prevailed in the legislative process, no change to the 2.9 percent will be necessary.
Students and families can expect to receive tuition invoices in mid July that will be based on that amount – the smallest increase in tuition in recent memory. Exact amounts for various categories of students can be found here.
