Legislative Day is a day set aside annually by the South Carolina chapter of NASW and the South Carolina Legislature to honor and acknowledge the work of social work professionals, and the introduce social work students to the legislative process. At Legislative Day our students:
- Learn about pending legislation that impacts social justice in our state
- Meet students from other accredited schools of social work In South Carolina
- Observe the legislative process from the galleries in the Senate and House
- Visit committee hearings
- Visit legislators
