Ms. Wright is a Project Coordinator with the Center for Social Welfare Research and Assessment, housed within the Department of Social Work. She earned an undergraduate degree in Social Work from Columbia College, and a Masters of Social Work from the University of South Carolina with a concentration in Individuals, Families, and Groups. Ms. Wright has more than seven years of experience in child welfare practice in non-profit and for-profit settings in South Carolina and North Carolina.
Currently she serves as project Coordinator for the Child Welfare Scholars Program. In this role, she is responsible for the recruitment, selection, and instruction of child welfare scholars in preparation for employment in public child welfare practice. Ms. Wright also instructs two child welfare courses: SCWK 523 Families and Children: Policies and Service, and SCWK 533 Families and Children: Practice and Trends.
