Professor Layzell is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and part-time faculty member at Winthrop. She received her M.S.W. from Michigan State University with an emphasis in clinical practice. She has taught psychodiagnostics at Winthrop. She has extensive experience in administration and clinical practice in community mental health. Her specialties include community mental health, deaf and hard of hearing, and HIV/AIDS.
