Professor Kelsaw is an adjunct instructor in the Department of Social Work. She teaches undergraduate- and graduate-level courses that address cultural diversity, leadership, and empowerment. She earned a B.A. in mass communications and a teaching credential from the University of California-Davis and her M.S.W. from University of California-Berkeley.
With a background in maternal, child and adolescent health, Kelsaw has held various management positions; working in county alcohol and drug programs, public health, and nonprofit organizations. She also used her extensive program management and community organizing skills as a program officer for a philanthropic organization. In this role, Kelsaw was responsible for a variety of capacity building grant programs that focused on improving the health of communities around northern California.
