Dr. Manetta is an associate professor in the Department of Social Work at Winthrop. She teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate social work programs. She is a licensed clinical social worker. Dr. Manetta is the book review editor for the Journal of Social Work in End-of-Life and Palliative Care. In addition, she is on several journal editorial boards. Her area of research includes suicide prevention and domestic violence.
Dr. Manetta has written several book chapters and published research articles in various peer-reviewed journals. In addition, she has made numerous presentations in relation to her research at local, state, national, and international conferences.
