Dr. Rusinko, Associate professor of mathematics, received
his B.S. in mathematics and German from Davidson College in 2001. After working
as an actuary in Charlotte, N.C., he attended the University of Georgia, where
he earned his Ph.D. in mathematics in 2007. Upon graduation, he joined the
Department of Mathematics at Winthrop.
At Winthrop, Rusinko has taught a variety of courses ranging
from The Human Experience to Mathematical Models in Biology. He has mentored
over thirty undergraduate students in research projects in math education,
mathematical biology, and theoretical mathematics. When not in his
office, he can frequently be spotted with his wife and three sons attending WU
athletic and artistic events.
