Dr. Adams teaches in the Department of World Languages & Cultures at Winthrop. She received her doctorate in Spanish linguistics with an emphasis on second language acquisition from the University of California-Davis. Adams is a co-author of the activities manual to accompany Con Brio: Beginning Spanish Textbook. She currently is working on different articles related to cultural diversity and Latin American immigration in the United States.
