Dr. Adams is an assistant professor in the Department of World Languages and Cultures at Winthrop. She received her doctorate in Spanish linguistics with an emphasis on second language acquisition from the University of California-Davis. Adams is a co-author of the activities manual to accompany Con Brio: Beginning Spanish Textbook. She currently is working on different articles related to cultural diversity and Latin American immigration in the United States.
