Professor Goodner has been an adjunct instructor in the Department of Human Nutrition since 1998, and she assumed the duties of director of the Didactic Program in Dietetics in 2006. She is a member of the American Dietetic Association and the South Carolina Dietetic Association. Goodner was named the South Carolina Outstanding Dietitian in 2003.
She has published research related to food insecurity in Topics in Clinical Nutrition.
