Mrs. Lovegrove has served in her current position as assistant to the dean in the College of Arts and Sciences since May 2008. Prior to that position, she worked as administrative specialist for the Department of Political Science for six years. She recently completed her Masters of Liberal Arts degree in May 2011.
Along with her continued studies, Lovegrove is committed to her involvement with the South Carolina Women in Higher Education, the Winthrop University Energy Savings Team, and the Administrative Staff Development Advisory Committee. She also recently joined the National Council of University Research Administrators.
An active member of the local community, Lovegrove currently serves a three-year term on the Keep York County Beautiful Board. Lovegrove and her husband, Winthrop employee Lane Lovegrove, are certified South Carolina barbecue judges and enjoy traveling the state to attend a variety of local festivals and BBQ competitions.
