Professor Evans is an Assistant Professor in the Department of World Languages and Cultures and Language Lab Director at Winthrop. She holds a Ph.D. in Foreign Language Education from the University of Iowa. Evans taught French at the university, middle school, and high school levels for 13 years before returning to graduate school in 2006. In addition to having presented at several national conferences, Evans was honored to receive the Outstanding Graduate Student Award twice in her time at the University of Iowa.
She is a member of the American Council for the Teaching of Foreign Languages, the American Educational Research Association, and the American Association of Teachers of French. Recently here at Winthrop, Evans has taught French and Methods of Foreign Language Teaching, and she continues to serve as the university supervisor for foreign language teacher education students.
