Dr. Hanna is an associate professor in the Department of Chemistry, Physics, and Geology at WinthropUniversity. Prior to joining the Winthrop faculty in 2005, he held several positions as a chemist and manager in process research and development at Clariant Corporation, an international specialty chemicals company. He teaches introductory and advanced organic chemistry, as well as organic chemistry laboratories. His research interests lie in the development of new synthetic methods and the synthesis of molecules of potential pharmaceutical interest.
