Ms. Werts is a project coordinator with the
Center for Social Welfare Research and Assessment, housed in the
Department of Social Work. Through her current work, Amanda utilizes evidence-based approaches for program development and evaluation to work with state supported social welfare programs. Amanda formerly coordinated the Advancing End-of-Life Care Across Disciplines program at Winthrop, where she offered opportunities for students and health care professionals to advance their knowledge and skills in end-of-life care. Werts has taught in Winthrop’s M.S.W. program and worked in the health care field for eight years prior to coming to Winthrop full-time in 2009.
