Professor Green is a professor in the Department of Social Work at Winthrop and the executive director of the Center for Social Welfare Research and Assessment effective Fall 2011. His current research focuses on loneliness in those in community-based long-term care using statewide samples in South Carolina. He served as the principal investigator on an extensive human service needs assessment in York County, S.C. He has served on the social work faculties at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and the University of Tennessee, in Knoxville, Tenn. In both cases he led large-scale research and training units funded by outside grants and contracts.
