Dr. Prickett is an assistant professor of English education at Winthrop University. He received his Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction with a focus on English education from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in Blacksburg, Va. Prior to joining the Winthrop University faculty, Prickett was the Department of Education chairperson at Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport, La. Prickett has taught courses in secondary methods, educational technology, and adolescent literature. With a specialized focus on English Education, his most recent contributions to the field are bringing together areas of personal and professional interest: popular culture, media and technology, young adult literature, and teaching.
