Three Outstanding Faculty Members to be Honored at Commencement (04/26/13)
CAS faculty member Joseph Rusinko, an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics, will be recognized at Commencement as the 2013 Outstanding Junior Professor. This award is given for inspired teaching, research excellence, and dedication to the welfare of students.

Winthrop Recognizes Exceptional Employees During Annual Ceremony (04/23/13)
The following CAS employees received presidential citations for service to the university: Clifton Calloway, chemistry, physics and geology; Nick Grossoehme, chemistry, physics and geology; Wendi Hevelow, biology; Norma McDuffie, English; Pat Owens, chemistry, physics and geology; Scott Huffmon, political science; Adolphus Belk, political science; Karen Kedrowski, political science; Katarina Moyon, political science; Elizabeth Oswald-Sease, political science; and Judy Longshaw, university relations.
The following CAS employee received a presidential citation for service to the community: Barbara Heinemann, world languages and cultures.
Lynn Harand, an instructor and director of student services who retired in June 2012, was one of two co-recipients of the Mary Spann Richardson Award.
