| Phil Hindson enters his
third year as assistant men's soccer coach at Winthrop University. The Perth, Scotland native was a three-time All-Conference, All-Region and 1995 All-America selection while playing for NAIA nationally-ranked William Carey College. He is the all-time career-leading scorer at William Carey with 54 goals and 22 assists for 130 points in three seasons. Prior to joining the Crusaders, Hindson made the final 50 players for selection to the U-18 Scottish National Team. He also served as an apprentice with the St. Johnstone Professional Soccer Club. Hindson's professional playing experience includes a two-year stint with Arbroath F.C. of the Scottish Second Division from 1993-94. In 1995, he was a forward for the Nashville Metros of United Systems of Independent Soccer Leagues. From 1996-97 he was with the Cocoa Expos (USISL) which reached the national tournament both seasons.
