of Institutional Research and Assessment Policy on Accessibility Data Collection For Off-Campus/Special Courses One
of the measures required for South Carolina Performance Funding Indicator 2E is
“the percent of instructional faculty who receive a mean rating of
‘satisfied’ or above on a standardized question using a standardized scale
administered in a prescribed manner on anonymous student evaluations which are
submitted for all courses.” Courses/sections that include only one student are exempt from the requirement. Additionally, courses that are taught by contracted consultants rather than Winthrop faculty, are not part of the regularly scheduled semester (i.e., do not appear in the schedule bulletin), and are taught off-campus on a “nontraditional” schedule will not be included in the accessibility assessment. The “accessibility to faculty instructor” assessment will be conducted in all other Fall, Spring, and Summer session courses.
