Faculty representatives from all components of the newly adopted general education program were invited to participate in the meeting.
Topics discussed during the two-day meeting
Rubrics to operationally define categories and level of attainment of learning outcomes
Standardized assessment issues (multiple sections of a single course taught by multiple faculty members, multiple courses approved for a particular skill, component or perspective in the general education program)
Resources needed to conduct course-embedded assessment (time, space, fiscal, training)
Communicating results of course-embedded assessment (roles and responsibilities of various constituencies)
Using assessment results for general education program improvement
Recommendations
