Transfer Applicants

Many students elect to begin their studies at another college or university and transfer to Winthrop to earn an undergraduate degree. The Office of Admissions will process transfer applicants for the summer, fall or spring semesters.

Definition: Students will be classified as a transfer applicant if they enrolled in a college or university after graduating from high school. (Exception: students who take a college course in the summer term immediately following high school graduation are classified as freshman applicants for the subsequent fall semester.)

Admissions Policy: Winthrop University admits all qualified applicants and offers equal educational opportunities regardless of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion or disability.  Applicants are admitted on the basis of the probability of their success in completing the requirements for graduation.

Information of interest to prospective transfer students can be found below.  Please contact your admissions counselor if you would like to receive additional information or e-mail transfercounselor@winthrop.edu.
