When should I reserve campus housing?
All freshmen and second year students are required to live on campus unless they are living with parents or guardians within a 50-mile radius of Winthrop University. The information and forms needed to reserve a room will be mailed to you from the Department of Residence Life.
You can submit your housing reservation form anytime, but keep in mind that housing is assigned based on the date your forms are received by the Department of Residence Life. We recommend that you submit it as soon as possible.
You will be mailed a separate packet describing housing and meal plan options. The packet will contain your Eaglesnest ID and password allowing you to apply for housing online, which is preferred. If you do not have access to the internet the packet includes a housing preference form, contract and an instruction sheet. Please keep your Eaglesnest ID, password and instruction sheet for future reference, as it contains important information regarding various housing refund deadlines.
