South Carolina residents who are age 60 and over may attend Winthrop University for credit or non-credit purposes on a "tuition free", space available basis. Senior citizens will need to pay any lab fees associated with courses.
- Applicants must be legal residents of South Carolina as specified in the South Carolina Code of Laws 59-111-320
- Persons who receive compensation as full-time employees are not eligible to take courses under the senior citizen classification.
- Applicants must satisfy Winthrop's admissions requirements and provide documentation as detailed on the senior citizen application.
