Hi, my name is Megan and I am from Flint, Michigan. I
attended Florida State University and in 2002 received a Bachelor of Arts Degree
in English. While attending Florida State University I had the amazing
opportunity to study abroad in Valencia, Spain; a program similar to the
International programs that Winthrop offers. Becoming immersed in the Spanish
food, culture and heritage was one of the most fun, educational, and rewarding
experiences of my life. While in school I also became involved in political
organizations, and was a member of the Florida State Women’s CREW team. After
graduation I enrolled in Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts, in Southfield
Michigan and in 2003 I received a certificate in Video Broadcasting.
As an Admissions Counselor at Winthrop University I look
forward to assisting students with their college decisions and planning.
Winthrop University is very special because it is unique in offering all the
student activities found at larger universities within the comfort of a smaller
university setting. It is a school rich in history and tradition, alive in
spirit and pride and dedicated to students’ individual success. I am excited to
be a part of your college journey and help you take the first steps toward your
future success here at Winthrop University. |
